Why Invention?
We get it: invention sounds like what people in the 1800s did to bring us the lightbulb and airplane. What does invention have to do with learning in the 21st-century? To us, invention is about empowering every student as a fearless problem solver. The confidence, creativity, and skills that invention teaches helps students to succeed in any field they choose.
What We Believe
We believe there are specific teacher practices that build 21st-century mindsets in students. Our Fellowship helps educators grow their practice to empower students as fearless and compassionate problem solvers.
We believe that combining human-centered design, engineering, and social impact into a learning experience transforms educators and students alike. Through interviews and meetings, students build lasting relationships with individuals in their community and create innovative solutions that make an impact.
